Eric Ravilious

Eric Ravilious worked within the period of around ten years from 1930 - 1942 although he was widely known for his paintings of the English countryside such as this one 'Wiltshire Landscape' 1939, which portray the delicate nature of England and I think portrays a similar atmosphere for the outside that Edward Bawden creates inside. His prints such as his lithographs which have a stronger and harsher look which is something that has inspired me within my own work, I think the limited colour palette with the black lines to add depth could be an interesting technique to try within this project.
