Why Now?

Within today's political climate it is essential that there are still works being made for the working-classes. Literature, art and  film I feel has so much more importance when it is relatable and that is what Loach does. 

Throughout this project I want to add that relatability for people, and hopefully open some people's eyes to the truth of how a lot of working-class people live and how they struggle day to day. 

 Through focusing on Loach's old films, I feel they have more poetry in them, Riff Raff and I, Daniel Blake although they have important political messages don't portray fully my aim of illustrating the poetry of realism.
