In the Waiting Room print

In the Waiting Room-

Although the ink has smudged a bit I think this came out really well, I tried to get the lighting and shadows better on this one as they weren't as good on the last but I'm pleased with how it looks.
Waiting rooms have big significance in both Cathy Come Home and Poor Cow.

Especially in Cathy Come Home their family is constantly being moved around and waiting to see if they can get a home, Loach creates the atmosphere of tension both Cathy and Ray feel when depending on a system that is ruled against them. It was important for me that Cathy and Ray looked on edge and uneasy in this print and I think by putting them at the forefront of the print we can see this.

Although not as emphasised in Poor Cow waiting rooms are still significant, Joy is filmed waiting for housing decisions and for divorce proceedings I wanted to show that these aspects hinder Joy in life by her arguing with her first husband Tom.

This was my first print with all three characters together and I think it works well, it looks more staged than my other prints but I don't think that takes away from the scene.
