The Elephants at Ambosela and The Blue Danube

Finished print - I'm really pleased with how this turned out.
I tried something new with how the floor was cut and think it works really well and is something I'll use in other prints.
The main aim in this print was to explore how Cathy and Reg have fallen from a comfortable income and having art and classical musical, typically 'highbrow' possessions, to becoming homeless.

The fragile structure of social mobility is something that is still visible in today's society, as it was then in 1966. The stereotypes that are attached to homeless people in 1966 are still apparent and if not worse today, my aim at the start of the project was to make these films and the whole genre of kitchen sink and the visibility of the working-class more apparent in today's society and I think these recent prints are what I wanted to see as an outcome at the end.
