Film scenes from A Taste of Honey

A Taste of Honey 1961

Shortly after the production of the play Shelagh's work was adapted for the screen by director Tony Richardson in 1961.
Although I don't want to work from the film and from Shelagh's play in it's book form, I think the film will still offer good inspiration for the scenes.
One of the scenes I'm keen to explore is when Jo is near the canal as the last and first photo shows.
I think the industrial background of Salford and the texture of waves I could get within print will be really interesting and will take the attention from the character away from Jo and onto the city.
