I got in touch with Steph from Special Collections we had a zoom call on the 2nd of March to talk about working together. Steph was very helpful and mentioned the collection of Victorian Ephemera they have which could be interpreted as the art for the working-class. I have applied for a rise internship with working with Victorian crime and punishment archives so I thought this would work well with aiming towards that but I would of had to of gone in to the library to view the collection which unfortunately I can't do yet. We then suggested working from the North West Film Archives which I think could be really successful but they are their own separate archive and I would have to communicate with them separately which Steph said she could help me with.
The only issue with going ahead with working with Special Collections is that the work wouldn't be able to used in an exhibition or to create attention for a collection in the library which is why I will wait for the working-class movement library to get back to me. |
