Lockdown Diaries Project

Over the weekend I was contacted to be asked to be part of illustrating some stories that were written by working-class people in the first 28 days of lockdown. Dr Lisa McKenzie started the project and with the response of the diaries wants to create a graphic novel with 5/6 different illustrators.

I am really looking forward to be a part of the project not only from an illustrative point of view but because of how important I think it is to be making work that is not only valuing the voices of the working-class but presenting them throughout art. This will be a great opportunity for me to be able to use my work for a valuable purpose, the project is still in early stages as the kickstarter still needs to reach it's goal but the work will start being created in around June/July.
