Inspired by the Rita Hayworth poster - not on an a4 scale but A2 I think this would work really well. I think having more complex figures and portraits that I could get good detail into would add enough for an A2 print. Although it doesn't look good on photoshop I think it would translate well into print but before that I think I will test some of the writing on a different bit of lino to see which one looks best as in my last print I don't think that font translated into print as well as I had wanted it to. Another aspect of adding all the different characters of the play is inspired by the tv programme I watched about Shelagh's Salford and she made a comment about the play saying 'And this is, more or less, what the play is about. You get three sets of people ' there’s old people, they’re done, their restlessness is over. And the young ones are just about embarking on their careers, but in the middle you get this chaos of middle age where you don’t really know.’ I thought adding their characters around the young character 'me' but playing the young daughter Peg would explore the intertwining of three generations. |
